Mr. Tomasz Commutes from Warsaw to Work. He Bought a Second Apartment in Olsztyn

 

Twice a week, Mr. Tomasz travels from Warsaw to Olsztyn for work. Until now, he had been renting apartments through online listings. Now he has invested in purchasing an apartment. – I chose a functional apartment in the Grzegorzewska Apartment Building, and I don’t regret it because there are several advantages – he says.

For several years, Mr. Tomasz has been traveling to Olsztyn for a few days to work. He is a doctor at a clinic in Olsztyn. He commutes from Warsaw, where he lives. – Until now, when I came to Olsztyn, I would browse online listings and rent an apartment or stay with friends. However, it was neither comfortable nor convenient – he explains.

He adds: – It turns out that renting a place for a short time is also time-consuming – there aren’t many apartments in Olsztyn available for just a few days a week. So I decided to invest in an apartment on Grzegorzewska Street.

 

Olsztyn – A Good Place for a Second Home

Mr. Tomasz bought an investment apartment – he runs a business, so as an owner, he can deduct 23% VAT from the purchase. – On the days I’m not in Olsztyn, I’ll simply rent the apartment to others. It’s a win-win situation – I don’t have to browse listings, and the investment will partially pay for itself – he notes.

He emphasizes that he chose the Grzegorzewska Apartment Building for several reasons. First, he valued proximity to the city center. – The Old Town and Central Park are just a stone’s throw away, and I enjoy running, so that’s a big plus. Second, I was captivated by the architecture, the closeness to greenery, the river at arm’s length, and the quiet neighborhood – lists Mr. Tomasz.

With a smile, he doesn’t rule out moving to Olsztyn in the future. – I’ll definitely enjoy coming here even more in the summer. Warsaw doesn’t have as many lakes, greenery, and forests. The capital also lacks peace. Olsztyn is different – he says.

The development at Grzegorzewska Street consists of 37 apartments. On the ground floor, there are investment apartments up to 43 sqm. The remaining 22 apartments on the first and second floors are classic residential units.
